Parker River National Wildlife Refuge (hereafter, “the refuge”) was established in 1941. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service manages the refuge as part of the National Wildlife Refuge System. The 4,727 acre refuge includes over six miles of pristine barrier island habitat on Plum Island, Massachusetts.
